Young Player of the Season (u21)

Worryingly, we don’t actually have that many candidates for this, although if it were u23 it would be slightly easier with Szczesny, Ramsey, Wilshere & Gibbs all 23 or less at the beginning of the year. The almost uncontested winner therefore is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. And rightly so, he has filled Walcott’s boots better than many expected him too and had a real part to play in our FA Cup run with notable performances against Liverpool, Everton and Wigan on the road to the final.

Goal of the Season

The goal of the season pretty much picks itself, I doubt I could find a true Arsenal fan who wouldn’t agree with it being Wilshere’s goal against Norwich. The best part about it was the reaction of the Emirates, it wasn’t until the goal had been replayed twice into the stadium that the fans actually realised what on earth had just happened. I think the Norwich defenders probably felt the same.
