Listen: Wenger Brands Costa 'Unacceptable'
After the Chelsea match yesterday, in which Arsenal lost 2-0 largely courtesy of awful refereeing from Mike Dean, Arsène Wenger blasted Diego Costa a 'disgrace' and unacceptable.
The universally hated-outside-of-Chelsea striker got away with three red card offences against Laurent Koscielny, twice pushing/slapping him in the face and once shoving him to the ground, all in full view of the referee before committing his fourth red card offence when he gouged the back of Gabriel's neck, again in full view of Mike Dean. Gabriel's understandably but silly reaction to this saw him booked twice and sent off by Mike Dean who also failed to send off Kurt Zouma for grabbing Gabriel but the throat.
Diego Costa should have been cautioned earlier in the match when he waved the imaginary card at Dean emploring him to book Santi Cazorla - which he duly did. It's clear Mike Dean had an absolute stinker and you'd imagine Wenger would have called him out as well were he not risking a fine to do so. Have a listen to Wenger's thoughts on Diego Costa
