How Arsenal Can Boost Their Warchest With A Few Budget Squad Signings - Right-Back
Right-Back
The popular replacement for Sagna is Seamus Coleman but unless we want to spend up to a third of our rumoured budget on a defender we should be looking elsewhere. Serge Aurier has been linked with Arsenal but at 21 years old he could be the cause for Arsenal losing one of Jenkinson and Bellerin, both who will be looking to step up when Bacary leaves. The same goes for Chambers and Clyne. Here is a more experienced and potentially cheaper option.
Mathieu Debuchy - As far as replacements for Sagna go we really couldn't go wrong with Debuchy. He is experienced enough not to hinder the progress of Bellerin and Jenkinson and talented enough to fill Sagna's boots whilst those players improve enough to take the mantle. Statistically there is not much between Sagna and Debuchy (see this article) so it would not be a drastic downgrade. We're not the sort of site to pluck random figures out of the air and say that's how much a player will cost but it is hard to see Debuchy costing more than £10m with only a year left on his contract.

Alternatively, Arsenal could look at Micah Richards who can play right-back and centre-back. Don't @ us ;)
